A rare Chinese jade embellished silver paper knife by Edward I. Farmer, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and 19th century, the plaque of very pale celadon colour, with rare pierced decoration of Manjushri surrounded by bats. Mounted in a silver paper knife marked 'Edward I. Farmer, New York, Sterling', the jade plaque 5.5 cm diameter, the knife 22 cm long.
