A set of four Japanese inscribed dishes, by Kenzan Ogata, Edo period (1603-1867), 17th/18th century, the square dishes, each decorated with a different theme, including houses and flowers, each inscribed with a poem and signed Kenzan with red seals. Together with a fitted old Japanese wooden box, 2.5 cm high, 15 cm wide, 15 cm deep.
