A large Japanese Buddhist sculpture of Fudo Myoo with attendants, Edo period (1603-1868), 18th/19th century, carved from joined blocks of wood with polychrome details, as Fudo Myoo (Acala) seated in padmasana with a wrathful expression on a rock-form base with a flaming mandorla behind, flanked by standing figures of acolytes Kongara-doji (Kimkara) and Seitaka-doji (Cetaka) on similar rock-form bases, 115 cm high, 130 cm wide, 55 cm deep.
