A collection of Japanese smoking implements, Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century, three charming Senryu-Zutsu (single section) pipe cases, the first in carved wood from a natural branch, the second from a piece of dark polished wood (possibly ebony) and accompanying jar shaped toggle, the third a carved bamboo pipecase alongside a richly polished burlwood tonkotsu, the largest 26 cm long. Provenance: A private collection of Inro and Japanese accessories.
