Five Japanese red lacquer Kogo (incense containers), a collection of five cinnabar carved lacquer Kogo. The first of concentric circles, the second a peony sitting atop a finely carved ground, the third (centre), deeply carved in typical guri-bori with a symmetrical scroll design, the fourth depicting an abstracted floral design and the fifth a charming stylised chrysanthemum. Provenance: A private collection of Inro and Japanese accessories.
