A Khmer sandstone panel depicting Buddha, circa 10th century, the relief carved panel depicting Buddha seated in padmasana on a lotus throne, with right hand raised in abhayamudra, surrounded by a shaped arch and stylised foliage. Mounted on a black perspex base and covered by a clear perspex housing, the figure 16 cm high, 12 cm wide. With stand and housing 22 cm high, 16 cm wide. Provenance: Soo Tze Orientique, 28 May 1988.
