An unusual 17th century oak boarded chest English, Circa 1640-60 The lid with a series of gauge-carved linear lines to the chip-carved and channel-moulded front edges, the front naively shallow-carved with a segmented band of linear, chip and wavy-filled arches, the sides descending to V-cutaway supports, interior division. 98 cm wide x 33 cm deep x 49.5 cm high.
