A Grand Tour micro mosaic box, by Ceasre Roccheggiani, Rome, circa 1,850, the brass box with a hinged cover and silk lined interior, inset with micro mosaic panels depicting historical Roman buildings and ruins, accented with brass beading, raised on four decorative cast feet, the makers label to underside. 9.5 cm high, 14.5 cm wide, 10 cm deep. Provenance: The Douglas Tilquhillie family collection, Melbourne.
