An English black lacquered Chinoiserie cabinet on stand, 18th century and later, the two door cabinet well painted in raised lacquer work with hunting scenes, pagodas in landscapes, cockerels, and mythical beasts; with engraved brass corners and lockplate. The interior later fitted with ten drawers, raised on a later intricately carved Charles II style silvered stand. 205.5 cm high, 111 cm wide, 55 cm deep. Provenance: Contents of Toorak mansion, Trawalla.
