Two Chinese Yueyao bowls; Warring States period (475-221BC); one with high sides and a waisted rim, the rim decorated with impressed circular marks; the other of low flattened form, decorated to the interior with a carefully executed incised spiral, both covered with an olive-green ash glaze. The larger bowl: height 5 cm, diameter 12.5 cm. Provenance: old Japanese collection.
