Settee and pair of armchairs; late 19th century, probably by Butler of Dublin, in the Chippendale manner, each with an elaborate pierced and carved splat having scrolls, ribbons, oak leaves and acorns, the settee centred with a bird, the outswept arms carved with acanthus and terminating in mythical beast heads, flanking drop in upholstered seats, the apron carved with shells, foliage, flowers and scrolls, and centred with a shell and oak spray; the cabriole legs with shell carved knees terminating in hairy paw feet.
