The 1912 Melbourne Cup, Joseph Greenberg (1923: 2007), Vice-Regal party, Melbourne Cup morning, 1912, pen & ink on artist card, 32 x 58 cm. A large party from Federal Government house arrived at Flemington at noon, escorted by a detachment of mounted rifles. The party, consisted of Lord and Lady Denman, Admiral and Lady King Hall, Misses Bosanquet, Miss Phipps, Sir Walter and Lady Bartelott, Baron Major Quilter, Captain Nutting, and from State Government House came his Excellency the Governor and Lady Fuller, his Excellency the Governor of New South Wales, Lord and Lady Chelmsford and suite, and Major general Gooley, the Commandant of the New Zealand military Forces.
