New South Wales Sheffield shield team: Brisbane, 1930: the official NSW team photograph by Sidney Riley, Brisbane, with Kippax as Captain and McCabe, Jackson, Fairfax and bill in the team. Laid down on the original backing card, overall 30 x 38 cm. While the match in Brisbane was drawn, bill (153), Kippax (158) and McCabe (161) were the major contributors to the NSW 1st innings of 566. They were answered in style by Queensland who amassed 687 with Gough (137) and Thompson (275) being the highest scorers. Provenance: from the estate of 'Hal' Hooker, New South Wales.
