Literature: 'Cricket: the oval series of Games' by former Australian Captain William ('Billy') Murdoch, 93pp softbound, 5 plates including frontispiece showing W.G. Grace at the wicket, period advertising at the back, signed 'G.W. Gubbins/Sydney/Feb.17.1894' on title page and on the front cover, the book is accompanied by 'Will. L. Murdoch' signature on a piece of thick card. Lieutenant G.W. Gubbins was a member of the crew of survey ship hallmarked sterling penguin based at Australia station (Sydney).
