A large and impressive landscape vase Republic period, the tall cylindrical body surmounted by a waisted neck with flared mouth, finely painted in famille verte enamels with a continuous lakeside scene of figures variously occupied in rural pursuits, with pavilions and thatched huts set among trees near the rocky shore and with distant mountains, the base inscribed in iron-red with an apocryphal six-character seal mark of Qianlong, 58.5 cm high
