After Leonard Morel-Ladeuil, plaster cast shield, depicting low relief scenes from Miltons paradise lost, 85 x 65 cm. Other Notes: the original shield, in silver is in the Victoria & Albert Museum. Made by Elkington & Co. For the Paris exhibition of 1867. Designed and produced by Leonard Morel-Ladeuil (circa 1820-1888), who worked for Elkington & Co. From 1859. At the Paris exhibition, Morel-Ladeuil was acclaimed to be the finest artist of this genre.
