A Mongolian gilt repousse figure of Shakyamuni Buddha, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1735 - 1796) the figure is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, the left hand in dhyanamudra, the right hand in bhumisparsa, wearing a dhoti with a shawl draped over the left shoulder, the face with a meditative downcast expression, flanked with pendulous ears, the hair tied in tight curls framed with a five leaf pendant crown.
