A large stone head of a Buddha, Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) the finely carved figure with a serene expression dressed in loose fitting red and orange robes, the hem decorated with scrolling lotus, the hands are holding a bowl under a small bird, and sitting on a rock work base. 39 cm high, 19 cm wide. Provenance: acquired in Hong Kong,1980's. An important private collection, Sorell, Tasmania.
