A Duan Inkstone and hardwood box, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) the front of the inkstone is carved with a pair of archaistic inter-locked dragons, the back is carved with a river landscape and a 'Qing Shannong' carved mark. The fitted hardwood box inlaid with a white jade plaque in the form of a lotus. Inkstone: 13.5 x 9.8 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Victoria, Australia
