Political Satire: a Kick up Among the Wigs, William Heath, 1828, pub. By Tho. McLean, 26 Haymarket, London. Hand-coloured etching, plate: 25 x 35 cm. The Duke of Wellington charges on horseback through a crowd of little wigs (i.e. Whigs) in this satire on his formation of a Tory Ministry. King George IV stands to the side, amused by the spectacle.
