A Laotian silver footed bowl with repousse decorated and alternating panels of the three-headed elephant (airavata) and deities, separated by elaborate floral scrolling and borders with foliate lotus leaf pattern, early 20th century. A silver plaque attached to the base bears the following text, La grande Connetablie du Laos a la Confrerie des Chevaliers des Comtes de nice et de Provence. 21.5 cm high, 21.5 cm diameter, 584 grams.
