Kaare Klint mahogany dining table for Rud Rasmussen, the rectangular top above shaped frieze on square sectioned supports. Height 75 cm, length 200 cm, width 90.5 cm. Provenance: Rud Rasmussen, Denmark. Private Collection, Denmark acquired from the above 1940's, Thence by descent. Private Collection, Southern Highlands, acquired from the above 2015. Other Notes: Kaare Klint (Denmark, 1888-1954) was an architect and furniture designed known as the father of modern Danish furniture design. He designed icons such as the Faaborg chair (1914), the propeller stool (1927), the Safari chair (1933), the church chair (1936) and the circle bed (1938).
