Other Notes: Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) was a leading Danish furniture designer who became integral to Denmark's midcentury modern movement. He studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of fine Arts and developed a simple and refined aesthetic which referenced classic forms from the past. He was awarded many accolades including the Copenhagen Carpenters' Guild Annual Award and the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1960. Some of his iconic designs include Pj-149 Colonial chair (1949), Rungstedlund dining chair (c. 1950), ladies desk (1954) and Egyptian stool (1957).
