A French white alabaster and ormolu striking mystery clock, last quarter 19th century, the eight-day twin barrel movement striking on a bell by Japy with Brevete stamp, surmounted by a classically draped female figure holding the pendulum with steel and brass rod and black enamelled bob with stars, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals and gilt hands. Height 58 cm
