A Venetian gondola lantern, probably 19th century, the lantern within a three sided glazed shade, with ornate carved and gilt decoration, raised on a fabric covered shaft, decorated with fleur de lis. Wired and operating as a lamp. 300 cm high. Provenance: Sotheby's Australia, the spring auction series including the Cornall sale, 10th November 2003, lot 883.
