An impressive Louis XIV style Chinoiserie bracket clock, circa 1870, the polished steel dials set within a glazed door, within a case of architectural form, gilt metal mounted and decorated throughout with Chinese scenes and other decoration on a simulated tortoiseshell ground. Anchor escapement, triple fusee, chiming quarters on eight bells, hour striking on gong, with an engraved back plate. 72 cm high, 48 cm wide, 33 cm deep.
