Two fine Vietnamese/Annamese blue and white boxes, 15th century, the larger decorated with a flower to the top, the smaller of mangosteen form, decorated with birds in flight and grasses to the sides. Both with original Hoi an Hoard labels and barcodes affixed to the base. The larger box 5 cm high, 7 cm diameter. Provenance: Hoi an Hoard, Butterfields, San Francisco, 2000
