A Chinese pale celadon jade bird feeder, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), modelled as a flattened ruyi form, the underside with shallow relief carving depicting a paradise flycatcher perched on a blossoming plum tree. The jade of even pale celadon colour. Provenance: The Gwenneth Haines collection. 5.5 high, 5.5 cm wide.
