A Khmer stone head of Buddha Mukhalinda, Bayon period, late 12TH/Early 13th century, carved from sandstone, with a radiant smiling face, backed by a mandorla of serpents. Together with a fitted black stand. The head 23 cm high, 19.5 cm wide. With stand 28.5 cm high. Provenance: The sculpture gallery, Hong Kong. Purchased by the vendor in the early 1990s
