French 19th century mantle clock, the rectangular black slate case raised on a tapering stepped plinth base and set below a shaped dome cover with fluted accents, the body decorated with inset marble and incised gilt foliate designs, the bevelled glass dial cover protecting a white enamel dial set with Roman numerals, with visible escape wheel and dual winding points, brass presentation plaque to front dated 3rd January 1885, together with pendulum, height 46.5 cm and width 37.5 cm
