A fine Italian scarlet tortoiseshell cabinet on Stand, 18th century, the cabinet comprising an arrangement of drawers centred by an architectural door flanked by columns enclosing an additional three drawers, raised upon a stand of conforming design, the four legs united with a scrolled cross stretcher accented with a finial, the whole in black lacquer, inset with tortoiseshell, mother of pearl and cut brass, and applied with gilded metal mounting, 150.5 cm high, 119.5 cm wide, 44 cm deep.
