A French boulle display Cabinet, 19th century, of slender rectangular form, composed of two sections, each with a single door opening to shelves with a mirrored back, the whole inlaid with cut brass, scarlet tortoiseshell inlay and ormolu mounts, raised on four paw feet. Provenance: The private collection of the Count and Countess Krasicki V Siecin. 173 cm high, 67 cm wide, 25 cm deep. Provenance: Baron Mayer de Rothschild, original resident of Mentmore towers, married his only daughter, Hannah de Rothschild to Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery, in 1878. This display cabinet, originally forming part of the furnishings of Mentmore was later gifted to Lady Helen Dorothy Primrose, before the auction of the contents in 1977. Thence by descent to Lady Potter and Countess Krasicki V Siecin.
