Revenge scratch built model galleon with title plaque 'Revenge, 1577, Sir Richard Grenville'. 20th century, The Revenge built in 1577 had a colourful and illustrious career which included battling the Spanish Armada and later becoming Sir Francis Drake's flagship. She was eventually sunk by her own commander Sir Richard Grenville in 1591 after a long battle with the Spanish who numbered 53 ships to her one. 70 cm high, 75 cm long
