An Empire style mahogany bureau plat, 19th century, having an olive leather tooled surface and twin slides to the short ends with a conforming finish, a kneehole frieze with an arrangement of five drawers, faux to the reverse, each with ormolu escutcheons and mounts decorated with pairs of nymphs, and putti holding a wreath, raised on cabriole legs headed by winged lion's heads and terminating in lion paw feet, height 77 cm, length 146 cm, width 74 cm
