Elegant boomerang, Darling River Region, New South Wales. Boomerang with characteristic fine tooling, from the Darling River region of New South Wales. With their elegant forms and beautiful light-reflecting surfaces, these were fighting weapons used by men in battles, rather than for hunting purposes. Carved and adzed hardwood.
