Japanese Christening gown of Tokugawa Yoshinobu, (the last of Tokyo Shoguns) 1837-1913, beautifully decorated with bows, arrows, tsubas, prunus blossom and a samurai helmet to back, on a cream and gold speckled ground, the shoulders bearing the Tokugawa family mons, in white on a black ground, length 106 cm purchased: antique kimono, Tokyo, 1970's, then private collection, Southern Highlands, with original booklet and descriptive label
