Stunning Japanese Meiji period sterling silver and shibayama tray, of rectangular form with shaped corners and raised on four pierced bracket feet, the tray featuring a central gold lacquer panel depicting a blossoming tree and birds before a mountainous river scene, finely decorated in applied mother of pearl and carved timber, with two character signed panel to bottom right, the sterling silver frame further decorated with applied enamels depicting wisteria and other flowers, height 4 cm x width 25.5 cm x depth 19 cm, together with a fitted timber box and cover
