A fine and rare Regency mahogany and rosewood harlequin sofa table, the rectangular top with hinged flaps inlaid with two rosewood bands, the back one concealing a rising 'Harlequin' cabinet fitted with an arrangement of small drawers and a fold out writing slope, above a two drawer frieze, the shallow drawer containing a combination lock set on four alphabetically enumerated dials which operate the harlequin release, raised on turned end supports with out swept brass inlaid legs with brass paw feet, joined by a turned cross stretcher, 92 cm wide, 65 cm deep, 79 cm high
