A rare and early Australian spear Thrower/Woomera, South-Eastern Australia, faint incised marks on face of central section, wooden notch peg attached with binding (probably kangaroo gut) and remnant glittering resin (possibly spinifex). Dark colour overall suggesting that the piece has been oiled at some stage. Provenance: Purchased by the vendor at an Estate sale in England, UK, length 51 cm
