A Theresia Hvorslev for Alton silver 'Reflex' pendant, attached to a 3.3 cm, silver round wire bale and looped through on an open silver round wire choker, secured with small hook and jump ring clasp. Stamped 'Alton', Swedish three crowns mark and S for silver. Sterling silver. Weight 30.0 grams. Overall pendant size 25.4 x 36.6 cm. Theresia Hvorslev is a Swedish modernist known for her remarkable output that includes silver hollow ware, tableware, cutlery and jewellery. Her jewellery incorporates a strong direct language of form, with her designs 'Pointing' outward with sparks of life and vitality. In 1964 she returned to Sweden, opening up her own studio. It was during this time that she created some of her most significant works for designers such as Alton and Mema.
