An Irish Kilarney Ware writing compendium, 19th century, the two sectional lid decorated with a central oval marquetry plaque inset with an architectural scene within a Shamrock border and a further foliate border, opening to a fitted interior with a velvet writing surface, above a lower storage compartment. One lid inscribed 'Kilarney lakes 5 September 1867', 10 cm high, 36 cm wide, 25.5 cm deep.
