A fine pair of American three branch gilt girandoles, circa 1858, by Henry Hooper & Company, Philadelphia or New York, finely cast in 'Sultana' pattern depicting exotic female figures in ottoman attire standing before stems issuing flowers and leafy curved stems supporting foliate dishes and sconces dressed with spear head lustres, raised on marble bases; 'Sultana' pattern is cited in the 1858 Company catalogue, height 49 cm, width 40 cm.
