A George III sterling silver teapot, 1786 London, with maker's mark for Hester Bateman, the refined oil can shape pot with a fine bead edges and delicate bright cut borders and bands, a vegetal sprig to the spout and a vacant cartouche with ribbon festoon to the body, a fruit wood scroll handle with thumbspur and a wooden finial; crisply hallmarked underside and to lid, total weight 439gr height 15.5 cm, width 28 cm.
