A fine, rare George IV sterling silver 'Pedlar' table snuff box, 1835 Birmingham, with maker's mark for Edward Smith, finely cast in high relief featuring a wandering pedlar selling his wares through a busy market street against a textured ground, applied foliate edges, piano hinge and engine turned to the sides and base, twice hallmarked to the gilt washed interior and engraved 'Gratitude', silver weight 225gr, height 3 cm, length 10 cm, width 5.5 cm.
