A rare Victorian sterling silver double castle top card case, circa 1844 or after probably Birmingham, no standard or assay mark, maker's mark for Yapp & Woodward who first registered in Birmingham at this date, with finely embossed and chased decoration in the rocaille manner featuring views of Windsor to one side and Westminster to the other; partial hallmarks to the rim; inscribed also to rim 'A.M. Wainright', silver weight 53gr, length 8.5 cm, width 6 cm.
