A lotus shaped teal ground famille rose comport, Qing Dynasty, bearing Tonghzi (1862-1874) period seal mark, the dish of lobed form raised on a broad waisted base, decorated with lotus flowers, shou characters and bats in colours, auspicious Daoist symbols to the exterior, the base with emerald wave borders; double bordered red seal underside, height 7 cm, diameter 23 cm.
