A plaque to the front inscribed: 'Presented by W. J. Potter Esq. 1918'. Walter John Potter (1869-1928) was the son of Walter Potter (1805-1918) the renowned anthropomorphic tableaux taxidermist. The ebonized case measuring 214 x 58 x 192 cm.
