A folding knife fork and spoon set by Maniago Cutlers, Italy with military history. Provenance: 67780 Lt. Col. C C L Pusinelli, RA, OBE, MiD (2) (d.1996). British Army from 1936, Royal Artillery. 1939 Military Staff College in Quetta (then part of India), joined Montgomery's field staff and fought in North Africa, commencing with the Eritrea campaign; landed in southern Italy and fought his way through to the north. This set was part of the equipment that he had with him throughout World War II. After the war, he was initially posted to the War Office in London, then Plymouth, followed by SHAPE in Fontainbleau, France, then Hong Kong, where he commanded a battery overlooking mainland China. He was then posted to the army garrison in Barnard Castle, before a posting to Military Intelligence in Munchen Gladbach, Germany. Back in the UK, he was posted to Larkill, then to the NATO headquarters in Oslo, Norway. His final posting was to Northern Command in York.
