A fine George III brass mounted ebonised bracket clock, Aynsworth Thwaites, London, circa 1770, the stepped dome top with pineapple finials above pierced and engraved sound frets, backed by silk, canted corners set with caryatid mounts and raised on a stepped base with ogee bracket feet, the 7. 5 inch brass dial, with moonphase in the arch, subsidiary dial for strike/silent, date aperture, over a finely matted centre with signature plaque, the three train movement now converted to a dead beat escapement chiming on eight bells, with engraved back plate.
