i) A Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica Female Figurine Tlatilco culture (Central Mexico) Middle Preclassic period, circa 1200BC - 900BC Painted earthenware Height: 15.5 cm Note: Tlatilco was one of the first chiefdom centres to arise in the valley of Mexico, flourishing on the western shores of Lake Texcoco. It is noted for its clay figurines of nude women with fantastic coiffures.
